Throughout my school years, I was continually searching for a major that would help me understand and later on protect and defend environmental, humanitarian and social rights. It was only later that I realized that I could do that, regardless of the major I chose, through getting involved with NGOs, through my volunteer work and my everyday actions. As such, I became active in scouting and youth activist groups – an experience that allowed me to organize different charity events, volunteering activities and more recently to direct the campaign of the university student council elections.

I ended up choosing to pursue my studies in water and environmental engineering in order to also be involved in the technical side of things. The Youth4Governance internship program, represents the perfect opportunity for me to put into action the technical skills I have acquired, gain a fulfilling learning experience, and satisfy the need I feel to work in the service of my country.
